1. About CheckBefore

CheckBefore is an AI-powered digital safety assistant that helps users identify potential warning signs in suspicious messages, links, screenshots and online situations.

CheckBefore is intended to provide informational safety guidance and is not a bank, government agency, law-enforcement service, cybersecurity emergency service, legal adviser or financial adviser.

2. Information You Provide

Depending on the features you use, you may voluntarily provide information such as:

• Text or messages you want analyzed
• Descriptions of suspicious situations
• URLs or links you want checked
• Screenshots or images submitted for analysis
• Feedback about an analysis
• Comments submitted through the reporting/feedback feature

Please do not submit passwords, OTPs, PINs, CVVs, banking credentials, private keys, authentication codes or other highly sensitive credentials to CheckBefore.

3. AI Processing

Information submitted for analysis may be processed by an artificial-intelligence service in order to generate the requested safety assessment.

The AI may analyze the information you provide to identify potential warning signs and provide:

• Risk classification
• Explanation
• Warning signs
• Recommended precautions
• Suggested next steps

AI-generated results may be inaccurate or incomplete.

4. Screenshots and Images

If you choose to upload a screenshot or image, the image may be transmitted to the services required to perform the requested AI analysis.

Only submit screenshots that you are comfortable having processed for this purpose.

Before uploading, remove passwords, OTPs, PINs, financial credentials and other sensitive information whenever possible.

5. URLs

If you submit a URL, it may be processed by CheckBefore and its relevant service providers to perform the requested analysis.

A URL analysis does not necessarily mean that a website has been independently verified as safe or legitimate.

6. Analysis History

CheckBefore may provide a local history feature that allows you to review previous analyses.

Where history is stored locally on your device, that information remains under the control of the device and application storage until you delete it or clear the application data.

7. Feedback and Reports

If you use the "Report Wrong Analysis" or feedback feature, information you voluntarily provide may be processed for:

• Quality assurance
• Safety evaluation
• Identifying AI errors
• Improving CheckBefore
• Developing future testing and reliability improvements

Feedback should not contain passwords, OTPs, PINs, CVVs or other sensitive credentials.

8. Advertising

The Android version of CheckBefore may use advertising services such as Google AdMob.

Advertising providers may process information according to their own privacy policies and applicable advertising technologies.

Where applicable, CheckBefore will provide the appropriate privacy/advertising consent choices.

Advertising will not be presented as official safety advice or as a guarantee regarding an analysis result.

9. Third-Party Services

CheckBefore may use third-party services required to provide functionality such as:

• AI processing
• Advertising
• Privacy/consent management
• Application hosting or infrastructure

The actual third-party services used by the released version of CheckBefore may change as the application develops.

We will update this Privacy Policy when material changes are made to data handling.

10. Information We Do Not Intentionally Request

CheckBefore does not require you to provide:

• Passwords
• OTPs
• PINs
• CVVs
• Banking passwords
• Authentication credentials

Do not voluntarily provide such information.

11. Data Security

Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect information processed by CheckBefore.

However, no internet transmission or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

12. Data Retention and Deletion

We aim to retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

Information stored locally in the application can be removed through the application's available history/data deletion controls or by clearing application data.

If information has been submitted to a service provider or retained as part of feedback/support processes, deletion may require a separate request where applicable.

13. Children's Privacy

CheckBefore is not specifically designed as a children's service.

Users should not provide unnecessary personal or sensitive information when using the application.

14. International Processing

Third-party service providers used by CheckBefore may process information on servers located in countries other than the user's country.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the application, services or data practices change.
